
Ashley Dobbs, L’05, returned to Richmond Law in 2015 as an Assistant Clinical Professor of Law and Director of the Intellectual Property and Transactional Law Clinic, where she and participating law students provide IP and business transactional legal services to non-profits, artists, and small businesses. Professor Dobbs brings 10 years of experience in private practice, including her work at Hogan Lovells, P.C., one of the world’s largest law firms, and at Bean, Kinney & Korman, P.C., where she was a shareholder. In practice, she advised clients on the acquisition, protection and commercialization of intellectual property. In addition, Professor Dobbs founded her own consulting firm, in which she offered strategic recommendations and business and marketing plans to her clients, including Fortune 500 companies in the advertising, banking, cellular, and automotive industries. Professor Dobbs was named a “Rising Star in Intellectual Property” by Virginia Super Lawyers in 2014 and by D.C. Super Lawyers in 2015.
